FLOYD WEST22 DROPS GENRE-BLENDING PRODUCTION "DANCE ALL NIGHT"

Long Beach producer FLOYD WEST22 starts 2025 mixing tech house punch with melodic techno layers.

Drawing from his wide-ranging influences, from Ferry Corsten to Boys Noize, the California artist brings different corners of dance music together on his latest release.

FLOYD WEST22's path to production started at EDC 2009 in Los Angeles. Coming from rock and hip-hop, he dove deep into dance music, hitting festivals from Tomorrowland to Ultra Japan and becoming a regular in Southern California's underground scene.

His sets move between house, techno, and disco, reflecting his time spent digging through Beatport and catching everyone from Malaa to Meduza. This broad range of influences shows up in his productions, which have caught the ear of Marco Carola, Pretty Pink, and Swanky Tunes.

"Dance All Night" combines a rolling tech house bassline with trance-influenced melodies and a drop that nods to Malaa's style.

The track starts with a heavy bassline that takes cues from Meduza and Max Styler's productions. "I wanted people to move as soon as they heard it," says FLOYD WEST22. "The drop needed to be different, so I looked to one of my favorite producers, Malaa, for inspiration."

Beyond the clubs, FLOYD WEST22 has been picking up steady support from established names including Dark Heart, Bexxie, Freshcobar, Rubén Núñez, Robyn Lee, Ben Phillips, Ruben Mandolini, and Paul Manners.
