YULIA NIKO DIGS INTO 90s NOSTALGIA WITH NEW AXEPT SINGLE "UNIQUE"

Yulia Niko has built her reputation on stripped-back house tracks that connect with crowds worldwide.

The Berlin-based DJ returns to AXEPT with a two-track EP that puts a fresh spin on classic house elements.

Niko's productions take cues from 90s house while keeping things minimal and groove-focused. Her tracks have become regular features in sets from DC-10 to Day Zero, with her own performances taking her to major clubs and festivals across the scene.

Living in Berlin has shaped her stripped-back production style. Her releases consistently land in the sets of underground DJs, while her own performances keep her connected to what works on different dance floors.

"Unique" leads the release with a message about staying true to yourself in today's social media world.

The track pairs tight percussion with hypnotic elements that hit hardest when you're deep in the mix. Its B-side "Intention" follows the same path, with both tracks already getting big reactions in Niko's recent sets.

Key players in the scene are already backing the EP, with Damian Lazarus dropping "Unique" at Day Zero, while Meera has been playing both tracks regularly.
